Have you ever thought about the advantages of getting out and  photographing some winter scenes to hang up on your wall? You don't have to own the latest Digital SLR kit to take great photo's, most of mine are taken with an old Fuji which has now been far surpassed by some of the low end digital cameras and some mobile phone cameras, which are more than capable of taking a decent photo by most peoples standards unless you're looking to sell your photos professionally.
