The Intimidation Factor
Horses are rather large creatures. That alone can be intimidating. When you add to it the fact that they speak another language, are unfamiliar to you, and walk around on four legs rather than two you have adequate cause for concern. When you fear riding horses it can either mean that you have a healthy respect for unknown, which is healthy or a paralyzing fear that completely and totally leaves you unable to breathe, think, talk, or walk. There are a few shades of fear in between but you know which end of the spectrum you are nearer to. That doesn't change the fact that horses are beautiful and frightening creatures to those who don't know and love them. If you fear riding horses, now is a great time to address the fear and leave it in the dust.

Fear Through Confidence Lost
Sometimes the fear of horses is a new fear that is brought about as the result of an accident or a fall. Getting back on the horse is sometimes much easier said then done-no matter how fond you are of the horse. If you really loved the equestrian life before you know that there is no comparison to the feeling of the wind in your hair as your go horse back riding. You don't want to be afraid of riding and you certainly do not welcome it. This is different than those who have a phobia of horses because you already know, respect, and love these noble animals. In some ways it is crueler.

Fighting Fear With Hypnotherapy
The good news is that you can overcome your phobia of riding horses and move beyond it. Hypnotherapy, combined with NLP (neuro-linguistic programming) can be used to make you lose the fear riding horses brings to the surface so that you can enjoy this magnificent sport for yourself. At the very least you should be able to move forward and begin to get to know these gentle, intelligent animals a little better before making up your mind about them.

NLP is used to train your mind to override the fear that normally takes over when you even think about riding horses. Rather than feeling afraid you will experience something akin to detachment. This, much like fear, can be a learned behavior. The more you practice it, the more natural it becomes. In time, the panic will subside and your phobia of horses will begin to melt away. What would you give to be able to overcome the fear riding horses brings out in you-are you ready to take the first step today?
